Absolutely love Tri-County Chevrolet. Was hesitant to stop by at first, because I've always dealt with Ford, but I'm so glad that I did. Bobby Howell is a laid back, honest, and straightforward salesman. I didn't feel pressured at all, but ended up trading in my 2012 Ford Escape and purchasing a used 2016 Traverse that I LOVE. A couple of hours later, I received a text message from Bobby himself saying my Oakley sunglasses were found in my trade in. He took his day off to drive to my job and bring them to me, in a whole different town! Awesome guy, awesome customer service. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
No exaggeration - they were my worst experience ever w/ a service department. I've never been treated so poorly. I took my '95 Z71 in because the timing was off, or so I thought. 1) Lack of communication from the service department on what exactly was wrong w/ the truck. Jason Phillips is the manager of the service department and did the intake on the truck. Only called twice to say they were charging me 2 hours of diagnostic work ($190) and when it was ready (another $200). They replaced the spark plugs & the wiring harness on top of the manifold. My Dad was driving my truck from Royston to Cumming when the truck starts backfiring. We take it to a mechanic in Cumming b/c who would take their vehicle back to Royston when they botched the job to begin w/? One of the spark plug wires was literally broken into 3 pieces and taped back together. The maps unit needed to be replaced (causing the backfiring). When I looked at the top of the manifold the mechanic had left trash wires sitting on top of it. I went back to the dealership, and walk through the service bays. The first person I came across was the technician who worked on my truck. I told him I had a problem with the work. He takes me into the service department, and I sit down with Wes Jerome. He looks at me, and says I can't help you, the service manager isn't here. I have the broken spark plug wire and map unit in my hand. He repeats, I can't do nothing, the service manager ain't here. Then, the most unpleasant person of all steps in, Greg Phillips. He was sitting behind Wes, and as I was getting more upset, telling him that I felt like their diagnostic services for $190 that didn't detect a broken spark plug wire, and map unit, was not acceptable, this a-hole steps in (he's prbly proud of that title). He was aggressive, rude, condescending, and patronizing. I told him 4x to stop patronizing me, then he calls me sweetheart or honey, I can't remember which, and gets in my face to tell me people get a day off, referring to Jason Phillips. I understand that people get a day off, but this was the third Friday (not in a row but w/ in the past 5 weeks) I had tried to contact Jason Phillips at the dealership, and he wasn't there for one reason or another. Friday is really the only day I have to go from Athens (where I live) to Royston. I ask Wes if he wants to take pictures of the spark plug wire or map unit, he just shrugs, so I offered to take pictures and email them to him. He gives me the general service email address, and I sent pictures of the faulty parts to him. Then Wes and Greg disappear, I assume to help with some other hapless service victim, and I'm just left sitting there. I was furious at this point. The way that Greg Phillips talked to me was unacceptable. As I'm walking out through the service bays, I stopped a man who was dressed professionally and obviously worked for the dealership. I asked him for the dealership owner's name. He told me the owners name, I just remember the last name is Patel, his name is Nathan Phillips. I asked him if all the Phillips at the dealership are related, he said none of them were related. I told him how I felt about the service department, at this point I was in tears. Not because I was sad, but because I was furious, and felt powerless to do anything about the way I had been treated. Nathan assured me that he would get with Jason Phillips on Monday (9/11), and get back to me. Since hurricane Irma caused so much damage and havoc, I was willing to accept contact sometime during this week. I was never contacted. Around noon today I left a voicemail for Nathan Phillips telling him I had never been contacted. I don't expect to hear back from them. The service dept is the worst I have ever dealt with. I can take attitude, but I can't take incompetent work. The technician, Justin, needs to go back to mechanic school. Greg Phillips, needs to be fired, and they need to hire someone who will respect their customers. Wes Jerome, needs to grow a set. Jason Phillips, needs to be present to be a manager.
Fast, inexpensive, & offers services when applicable. Been wondering about tire rotation & b4 I even open my mouth, they asked me if I would like & price was way cheaper than anticipated. Took great care of me!
Absolutely love this place. just bought my second car from them. Bobby is a amazing salesman, went way out of his way to download my cd's on to a usb drive so I can still listen to my music. HIGHLY RECOMMEND dealership and salesman
