You get what you pay for here. Rooms aren't dirty, but are very dingy. We had a reservation as part of a wedding party, but when we arrived they told us that we did not have a reservation which took some time to resolve.
Basic place to spend a night. Picked here because I am not paying $160 per night (you know who you are) just for a place to sleep. Days Inn Royston was reasonably priced. For an added bonus, we were given a larger room for the same price for the smaller room I reserved due to a minor oversight by the friendly staff...bed was very comfortable...better pillows would have given them five stars. Very nice- seems like a family operation, and every member of the family went out of their way to try to make our stay more pleasant. It's a Days Inn, not the Ritz, and the building is a bit old, but the rooms are clean and well maintained, breakfast was good, the wifi was fast and free, and above all the owners seem to understand that they are in a customer service business. Would definitely stay here again.
Not a bad place to sleep, but thats all it is. Was clean, but the filter for the A/C in my room smelt dreadful so I kept that off. Went to go check out the free breakfast they advertise, the lobby door was actually locked, lights were off and no one was in there at 8:30 am. My biggest complaint would be that when I booked this trip months in advance I had the manager send me an email receipt of what the total would be. When I arrived the total was $80 more than what was given to me in the email, when asking what the $80 extra was for he said taxes. That would have been a nice heads up.
This is one of the better lower priced motels. The family who owns the place is exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to see to your needs. The room was clean and reasonably well maintained. Lobby area was nice. Breakfast is better than average. Wifi worked great, unlike some, and was free unlike the more expensive place I stayed recently.
